Breitling Cooperates With Kelly Slater to Release Special Watch
Kelly Slater is an American sport star, having been awarded World Surf League Champion for 11 times, amid other achievements. Recently the Florida-born champion is undertaking an altruistic mission to better protect the environment via an innovative clothing enterprise called Outerknown, whose vision is “where style meets sustainability.” Sponsored by Outerknown, Slater is nor cooperating with Breitling on a limited edition of the classic Superocean chronograph, representing Breitling’s first step into the field of recycled materials.
Breitling and Kelly Slater are collaborating to make a better world . With the help of Outerknown, Breitling replica made a distinctive watch to help out their efforts. Note, the fake watch isn’t a typical big Breitling watch.
Not in the watch itself, but the Superocean limited watch fitted with a NATO strap made from recycled nylon waste like worn-out fishing nets, emphasizing Slater and Outerknown’s joint commitment to making the oceans clean.
Not likely something that would lead to a revolution in the fake watch industry but a significant step still; recycled materials have potential to become a hot ticket item if some entrepreneur find a way to make and promote them correctly.
The Superocean limited watch comes with a special stainless-steel 44mm case, a dark ocean blue dial, a scratch and shock proof unidirectional ceramic bezel with a luminous central dot at the 12 o’clock position, and a caseback marked with the Outerknown logo. The Super-LumiNova coating on the dot and the hour and minute hands also have a blue light rather than the standard green.
With water resistant to 660 meters., the limited replica watch is priced at 7,100 USD. More of a dive than a surf watch but it still looks quite striking.
